Our evaluation consists of obtaining as much information prior to our visit as possible.  We want to get a thorough history, obtain parent questionnaires, and review therapy notes, and/or teacher observations, so that we come to our visit prepared.  We want to connect with your family and hear your concerns. When you see our faces, we want you to feel a genuine connection that we are seeing what you see at home.   We want to see your child at your home, so that we get see to your child’s true self in your safe home environment.  We do the diagnostic testing that has a strong evidence-base that will support our clinical diagnosis.  We want you to leave our evaluation with the right testing and documentation so that it will help your child obtain the local resources your child needs.  We are assessing a moment in time, though.  Development in a child can change drastically as a child grows, but our assessment will provide you with what we are seeing that day.  Insurance and therapy providers can change what they require to support services, but we have designed our evaluation to meet the basic needs many insurances require.
